1.) Backyard
One place to put a container is in your backyard. Many container owners are reusing shipping containers and refurbishing them to be turned into an efficient backyard container. For example many parents are using old shipping containers to build their kids playhouses right in there backyard. There are many benefits to a container playhouse. For starters, kids can try all they want but they will never be able to destroy or tear apart a steel container.
Kids can also have fun designing their container playhouse, they can make the container there art wall of fame by painting or drawing on the container. You could add a little cute front deck for your little girl and her friends to have tea parties. This is a super cute and very smart idea for the parents and the kids. Your kids would be the coolest kids on the block if they had a container playhouse.
Another idea for a backyard container is making the container into a place where family and friends can go and hangout, a container game room. This would be perfect for family and friend to gather around for everyone to socialize and come together.
Container are big enough to add a pool table, ping pong, or game machines. Also containers are very efficient when it comes electric. Containers can come fully equipped with electrical outlets, full HAVC set, and if you want to get really efficient you can add solar panels to be installed on top of the container roof. There are many unique ideas you can come up with using a container in the backyard.
2.) Container Food Truck
Another place to put a container is at an event. Next time you are at a ballgame, a music festival, or any event where food is being served, I almost guarantee you will see a food truck made out of a container. Container food trucks are the new trendy ways to serve food at an event.
Since reusing old shipping containers is a very eco friendly way to help our environment, everyone seems to want to jump in and join the trend! Also containers are a cost efficient way to save money as time goes on. This is because once you buy a container and do all the modifications you want to install to it, there’s no monthly rent for the container. Using containers for a food truck can make your business that more unique. Container food truck can be placed on wheels making the container portable so you can move the food truck to the new destination.
Usually food trucks sell their food on the streets so owners are always worries about theft. Container food trucks can be installed with sliding or adjustable doors that can be locked and sealed tight so there is no way of breaking in. The adjustable up and doors can be designed to fold down, making it look like a normal modified container at the end of the day. So look around the next time you’re at an event where food is being served, a container food truck will be there!
3.) Lake or Beach Room
A lake or at beach is another place to put a container. If you are someone that lives by or maybe even owns a house on the lake or beach, you understand the necessary need for a room to store all you chairs, surfboards, tubes, towels, boogie boards, floats, etc.
Let alone a place for people to hang out while being wet and dirty. No way would any mom be okay with dirty people just coming on in the house making a mess. So in other words container lake or beach storage room are kinda like a mud room but a pimped out mud room. Also if you live on a beach or an area with high winds and storms are common, a container is extremely durable so you won’t have to worry that belongings or even the container will be ruined.
A container lake or beach room is perfect if you need an area to sit and overlook the beautiful scenery. Container can be modified, as I said before, to have no sides walls or adjustable sides wall so the container has an open feel. Parents could enjoy this, with a beer or glass of wine in hand, while watching their kids play in the water or on the boat.
4.) Guest House
A guest house is an excellent place to put a container. If you don’t like having guest stay at your house but you are always forced to have people over, this isfor you! You can really make your guest comfortable having there own room, own bathroom, and own space in a container guest room. Install some windows, skylight on top of the roof, glass doors, air conditioning and you got yourself the perfect guest room!
You can place the container guest room outside right next to the house because the containers are installed with a fully equipped HAVC set so on a hot or cold day, you won’t have to worry about them. If you really don’t want to host be the perfect host, go all out installing the container guest room!
Add in a flat screen TV, full kitchen, and maybe some game table to keep them occupied. Now don’t get me wrong, i’m not promoting or encouraging to be a bad host. But if you know yourself to be irritated with guest staying in your house, I’m just helping you out with a cool idea of a container guest house!
5.) Inside or Outside Container Bars
The last trendy place to put a container is at a bar. A container bar is not much of a difference then a regular bar at a restaurant or out in your backyard. The main difference though, is the look and style.
If you have a restaurant or want your very own bar in your basement or outside for gatherings, you want your bar that stands out.
You want to have a bar that people will always remember because that’s what makes your bar different. There is no other type of bar out there like yours! When you see a container bar, it catches you eye.
Install additional features like a retractable overhang roof, sliding glass windows, and skylights so they bar doesn’t feel enclosed. Then add your own features like swivel bar stools, couches for a seating area, flat screen tv’s in every corner, and some games to keep people occupied.You want your bar unique.
